Vince Offer is well known but you may not recognize his name. But odds are you know his face and his pitch. Vince Offer is the mastermind behind the ShamWow commercials as well as the SlapChop commercials. He’s not just a pitchman for those products, he owns them.

Vince isn’t just the “ShamWow guy” though and doesn’t only infomercials. Most people don’t know but he also wrote and produced a film back in 1999 and although he has pocketed millions from the sales of ShamWow and SlapChop he considers himself an entertainer and his goals are more based towards the film industry.

This site is here as a tribute to Vince Offer and to help inform people more about the real Vince. Don’t judge him by the 30 second ShamWow commercials you see all over the place (unless you love them!). This unofficial fan site is your one stop shop for everything Vince Offer. You’re going to love his nuts!

Vince ShamWow Commercial

Odds are, your first introduction to Vince Offer went something like this: You stayed up late one night watching MadTV since you couldn’t sleep because of your acid reflux kicking up. You curse yourself for eating the “spicy” wings instead of the “seasoned” wings but didn’t want to look like a wuss in front of your buddies. Now, alone, in pain and tired you can’t get over how lame the “Stewart” skits are…or maybe have always been, but with acid in your throat you really have a different definition of what funny is.

Then, right before you decide to try to get to bed again, 3 hours before you have to work, you reach for the remote and hear “Hi, it’s Vince from shamwouw” and all of a sudden you are in a trance, completely oblivious to the boiling acid climbing into your mouth and catch yourself involuntarily reaching for your wallet, which is stupid because you are in your PJs and your wallet is in the room on the nightstand. But you can’t control the urge to BUY, BUY, BUY, even though this strange little man scares you a little at first.

Only after later reflection do you realize that ShamWow is the answer to your problems and this god of a man, sporting a trendy mic-headset, helped you see the light. You just need to order these crazy cloths, roll them up, and deep throat them to help soak up all that acid that is currently burning your…what is that little hanging thing in the back of your throat?…whatever the name, that little asshole is burning from the acid and Vince has shown you the solution to all your throat burning, late night watching, “stewart” from MadTV hating problems. Thankfully you only have 20 minutes to order as now you have an excuse to not watch the rest of that stupid ass skit.

The ShamWow commercial is a marketing masterpiece and Vince Offer is a hero. You may not realize it at first but after some late night reflection you do have to admit to yourself that without Vince, your life would suck even more!

Vince SlapShot Commercial

So ShamWow got him noticed and a built in audience but SlapChop is where Vince got to really have fun. Although he was “laughing with us” about the absurdity of the whole infomercial world in his ShamWow commercial, Vince really started to take it to another level in his newer SlapChop pitch. Beyond being a great sales pitch in it’s own right, it really is hard to tell if the “commercial” is for real or just some fake commercial between Saturday Night Live skits. How much self mockery can really fit in a commercial where you are still trying to sell something? Well Vince is really trying to find out and it’s awesome.

The obvious most popular line for the SlapChop commercial is, “You’re going to love my nuts“. Vince delivers the line without so much as a smirk and carries on. You’re likely to miss some of the tidbits of humor just watching it once. But if you watch close you might see the cheesy sparkle on the closeup on the strawberries. Or Vinces seemingly random rhymes (fettucini, linguine, martini, bikini).

Regardless how “cheesy” or annoying you may think Vince Offer is as his sales person character, keep in mind, it’s just that, a character. Millions of sales later and a gazillion video impressions, parodies, funny images and such, it’s hard to deny the appeal of Vince Offer and his zany sales offerings. I know I at least can’t wait to see what else he might try selling us and will be happy to shell out my hard earned cash as long as he entertains me.
